Lighthouse Beach 29/12/2012

Na ons heerlike uitstappie na die Coopernook area, het ons die middag gaan afsluit met 'n wandeling op die strand - by Lighthouse Beach.  Dit was 'n heerlike windstil middag en met het die naderende sonsondergang net die regte atmosfeer geskep!

My Ma geniet dit vreeslik om skulpe en klippies op te tel - my Pa moes geduldig die sak dra waarin haar "vangs" gegooi word!

Coopernook Forest Drive 29/12/201

Ons het bietjie die area gaan besigtig - die Moorland area.  Sowat 25km noord van Taree is die Three Brothers Area.

"Around 25 kilometres north of Taree is the stunning mountainous Three Brothers Region.  For a unique drive through lush hinterland and pristine bushland, turn off the Pacific Highway at South Moorland and into Forest Road.  This leads onto the unsealed Coopernook Forest Drive with interesting atrractions along the way.  Stop at Newbys Cave, a 5 minute walk from Newby's Creek Road, then on to Newbys Lookout.  Newbys and Flat Rock Lookouts afford sweeping views from the Lansdowne Escarpment."
